The importance of finding a qualified Inspector
Purchasing a home is a very exciting time. Like with any major purchase, it is important to not move impulsively but to research all the facts and to make an informed decision. This is especially true in picking a qualified home inspector. The video below gives you some detail on what to look for when hiring an inspector; I hope you will take a moment to watch it.
An overview of what Katz Family Home Inspection Does.
We are here to provide you with that independent, professional opinion so you can make the right choice. Having a third-party assessment of your purchase will reassure you that you are being given unbiased information.
A home inspection is an objective visual inspection of the physical structure and the systems of the home. We'll uncover building defects, necessary repairs, safety hazards, and preventative maintenance issues that could cost you a lot of money down the road. We'll also help you understand which problems are big-ticket items versus those that can be corrected with a visit to the local home store.
The reporting of inspection findings happens in two ways. First, whenever possible, the inspector and client will meet at the end of the inspection to tour the property, go over findings, explain how key items work, and answer any questions that you may have. Second, your inspection report will be emailed to you by the end of the day. Reports are broken down by section and system, including annotated pictures, in a PDF format. There is a section on this web site that has a copy of an actual inspection
